I'll Shave My Head For $1,500

But there's a catch. I'll only do it if you help raise $1,500, or more, by April 15th for the Doug and Jan Lee Benefit Account.

In February 2008, Doug Lee was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Burkitt Lymphoma. It's an extremely aggressive form of cancer, requiring 18 weeks of chemotherapy.
Doug is a freelance videographer and photographer. He can't work during chemo and recovery. And when Doug can't work, he can't make any money to support his family or their business.

That's why I'm willing to shave my head if you and other friends together donate a minimum of $1,500. All of the money raised will go directly to the Doug and Jan Lee Benefit Fund.

But $1,499 won't do it! $1,500 or more must be donated through this site by April 15th or I won't sacrifice 4 decades of successful hair management. If the donations top $1,500 I promise to shave my melon and share the pictures no later than April 21st. Check back here to see a running total of the donations given to date.

Whether you are moved by the challenges facing the Lees or you are driven by the idea of seeing me bald, please make a donation today! And don't forget to forward this to all your friends. Thanks!

So are we competing against each other as well as challenging others to give.

Here's a little advertisement on your site for my challenge. There may be those who prefer to see Jay's Cueball instead of Dave's

I donated the first $10 to you just to get things going!

Thanks Dave, for getting the cue ball rolling. Here's some cash for Doug. Give BIG people, just $1,390 more to go. Who is next?

Dave --
You act like shaving your head is a bad thing... I do it all the time for free! But I'll kick in $100 to see you join the shiny ranks of the Club Cue Ball.

I've seen him naked, guys. And I can vow that a bald head would be his best feature!

You guys are insane! Here's a secret. My hair is actually growing faster than ever.
I don't know what to say. You guys are really doing a cool and fun thing, but I still think you are insane to do it. It sure is easy to take care of though.

Love you guys!

To add to the challenge: a "real man" would wax his chest also! (kidding!) Or for the Neanderthal-types, wax your backs! (Wife approved, please!)

Best Wishes in your fundraising from Andrew and Kris Lervaag from Alaska where men/women (Shelly's sister) need to shave and wax once a year!
